I was a teacher in Boonton at School Street School. Kathy was my wonderful aide in Kindergarten. She was so sweet, hard working, loved the children, and absolutely loved her job. She was so helpful to me since I was a new teacher to the district. She always had a smile on her face. Gentle and kind were her middle names. Much love to her family. Mary Anne Piselli

I worked with Kathy for many years up at School Street School and she was an amazing person. Always a ready smile on her face and a great sense of humor. She taught her kids with a firm but gentle hand and they respected her for it. Kathy was kind and compassionate and a pleasure to work with. We retired on the same evening and found it bittersweet for us to leave our little family up on the hilI. I will always remember Kathy as a kind and gentle soul who saw the good in everyone. She will be missed.
Below, are two photos from our retirement party. She so enjoyed herself that evening of May 2005.

We will fondly remember Kathy as a devoted Mother and Grandmother to her 2 daughters and 5 grandsons. Also, we are thankful for the fun visits to Boonton to reminisce about family and friends over coffee and pastries at their family table. Kathy’s laugh was contagious and we will miss her sweet, gentle ways. Uncle George, Jen, Alexis, Drew, Jason, Max, Andrew, Ajay and Aidan, we hope you find comfort in the heartfelt memories of your beautiful wife, Mother and GMother, Kathy. As Kathy was so involved as an educator, a donation will be made to our local organization to provide necessities to students in need. Love, Shelby

I am so sorry to hear of Kathy’s passing. She was a lovely, sweet woman who cared deeply for the students she worked with. She was gentle, yet firm with the children, guiding and assisting them with just the right words. They loved her and responded so well to her calm and caring manner.
I knew Kathy as a coworker and also as a student’s parent ( Alexis was in my 2nd grade reading group) She was so pleasant to deal with in both those roles, but, in addition, she was a wonderful “work friend” with a genuine interest in everyone. She was always smiling and upbeat and had an infectious laugh.
My condolences and prayers to Kathy’s family and friends. She will be greatly missed.

I remember calling Kathy the "Ever Ready Bunny.' She was always ready to help in a pinch. She had such a sweet but firm way with the students. When a student made an error, Kathy would say, "Oops, you did an oops-sickle ." They both laughed and then worked on the correction. We could always trust Kathy's word when working with the students so we could help solve problems that came up.
As a friend Kathy was a wonderful listener filled with compassion and love. She cared deeply about her friendships and was cared for just as deeply in return. She could laugh up a storm also. We could mix fun with problem solving in our daily lives. Her family meant everything to her. We would hear about her daughters' lives and the accomplishments of her five grandsons. And how hard George worked having to get up so early in the morning to go to his jobs.
I will miss Kathy so much, but I am grateful that she was welcomed to Heaven by God and her mom and dad.
Vava con dios dear friend!
