Obituary of Gregory Howard Meyer
Gregory Howard Meyer, 62, of Boonton Township, NJ, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 24, 2023.
Greg was born in March 1961 to the late Ralph Meyer and Sally (née Scalia) Meyer. He grew up in Jersey City and Kinnelon and graduated from Kinnelon High School.
After graduation, Greg went into business, opening the storefront Musician's World in Butler. Later, he pursued opportunities in real estate as a realtor and property manager, but his personal passion always remained in music. He and his friends could be found many weekends enjoying karaoke and open mic nights together, with Greg delighting those around him with piano, guitar, and vocal selections from his favorite band, the Beatles. A lover of his country, Greg also enjoyed taking trips and adventures with his beloved Barbara.
Greg is survived by his mother, Sally Meyer; his sons, Matthew Meyer and Kyle Meyer; his sisters, Jodi Meyer and Leslie Meyer-Grimes; his nephew, Jack Grimes; his life partner, Barbara Cauceglia; and many friends.
Visitation will be Friday, December 29th from 7:00 to 9:00pm and Saturday, December 30th from 9:00 - 10:15am at Codey & Mackey Funeral Home of Boonton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am in Our Lady of Mount Carmel R. C. Church in Boonton, followed by entombment at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
