Obituary of Lukas Joseph Marker
Lukas Joseph Marker left this world a little darker, when he passed away unexpectedly on December 12, 2023, at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville, NJ.
Lukas was born at Dover General Hospital in June 1992 to Gary and Jan (Roman) Marker and raised in Boonton Township. He was an All-State 1st Team Linebacker for the Mountain Lakes Herd before he graduated in 2011. Lukas went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from Gettysburg College in 2015 and was currently working as a financial analyst for Riker Danzig LLP of Morristown.
Lukas loved to golf as well as gamble – roulette was a favorite. He was a snowbird and rooted for the San Francisco 49ers. And he was very fond of dogs, especially his Pawlah and the late Sugar.
Lukas was predeceased by his mother, Jan Roman Marker, this past April, and his grandmother, Martha “Gigi” Roman. He is survived by his father, Gary Marker; his sisters, Rhiannon Kymer and her husband, George; and Kristal Marker and her significant other, Basel; his brothers, Jason Marker and his wife, Rachel; and James Marker and his wife, Tanya; his nieces and nephews, Dylan Roosma; Ethan and Charleigh Kymer; Sophia Saad; Everett and Elsie Marker; as well as extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at the Elks Lodge, 230 Parsippany Rd, Parsippany, NJ from 2:00 to 6:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lukas' and his dog, Pawlah's honor to St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center, P.O. Box 159, 575 Woodland Ave, Madison, NJ 07940, would be most appreciated.
