Obituary of Teresa Hynes
Mary Teresa Hynes, 90, recently of Morristown, NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 26, 2023.
Mary Teresa was born in Moyney, Ballycastle, County Mayo, Ireland in 1933 to her parents, Michael and Katie (McHale) Bourke. She immigrated to the United States in 1952 and settled in East Orange, NJ.
Teresa, as she was known, moved to Parsippany in 1962, and raised her 4 children there. She worked for Automatic Switch Company in Florham Park, where she met her husband Jack. Together they loved to travel to Ireland and England. One of Teresa’s favorite activities was going to the casino and playing the slots! She was famous for her authentic Irish Coffees.
Teresa is survived by her children, Carol Yasson and her husband, Raymond; Kevin Cammon; Susan Gaudiosi and her husband, Robert; and William Cammon and his wife, Helen; her grandchildren, Michael, Laura, Bryan, Sean, Meghan and Olivia; her sister, Kitty Daly; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, John “Jack” Hynes; and her brothers, Tom, Mack, and Patrick Bourke; and her daughter-in-law Shari Cammon.
Visitation with the family will be Thursday, November 2nd from 9:30am to 10:30am at Codey & Mackey Funeral Home of Boonton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am in St. Peter the Apostle Church in Parsippany, followed by private cremation.
