Obituary of Debra E. Taylor
Debra E. Taylor, 68, of Landing, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
Debbie was born in Morristown, NJ to Baird and Ruth (Schaefer) Fox in 1955. She lived in Morris County all her life, most of it in Parsippany, until moving to Landing in 1989. Debbie graduated from Susquehanna University with a bachelor’s degree in music education and later a master’s degree in Elementary Education from Maryville College.
She met Alexander Taylor, and they married almost 42 years ago. Debbie taught music in the Parsippany-Troy Hills school system for 34 years. She was passionate about music, as well as photography. Debbie enjoyed scrapbooking, playing cards with friends and family; and making volumes of photographs. She loved to go down the shore and spend time at the beach. But most of all, she loved being with her family and being a grandmother. As a three-time cancer survivor, Debbie lived life graciously and to its fullest. She was very resilient and gave everything her all.
Debbie is survived by her beloved husband, Alexander; her cherished daughter, Sandy Taylor-Steiner and her husband, Lee; her cherished son, Timothy Taylor and his wife, Emily; her adored grandchildren, Avery and Autumn Steiner; and one on the way; her dear sisters, Virginia Garatina and Connie Meeker; as well as many friends.
Please join the family on Friday, October 27th from 9:00 to 11:00am for the visitation at Codey & Mackey Funeral Home in Boonton. A service will be held at the funeral home at 11:00am. Interment will be private.
