Gary and I met Kathy on a Viking cruise up the river in intense heat. We ate dinner together every night on the ship and enjoyed the company. She was so full of life and we kept in touch on Facebook. So sorry for your loss

Kate (Kathy) and I were neighbors and friends as children living on Division Street in Boonton. I remember well the years we spent together, playing on the porch, swinging on the swing under the grape vine, playing in the small playhouse against the back of the yard, until we could no longer fit into it!! The times we would retreat to her bedroom and just talk... As we got older, I would watch her put make-up on in the bathroom behind the kitchen. (A favorite memory of mine!) She was her own person from early on, not afraid of testing the waters, pushing the envelope a bit. She "assisted" me in learning how to smoke...and I can still hear her laugh when I coughed and choke on that first inhale. Time separated us after High School and my life went off in such a different direction that we lost touch. I will always be sorry for that...though we touched again recently, for which I will always be grateful.
Dear Friend: It was too long in between our connecting. Both times too short, with many gaps never to be filled. You were more beautiful than I remember and more loving and loved than I knew. May your spirit be forever free and may you float in between the stars and those of us so Earthly Bound-until we meet again. Love, Robin
