It is so unfair that Cortney has been taken from us, and particularly from Deena, well before her time. Her attention to the young children for whom she had cared speaks volumes about her capacities for patience, creativity and love. Cortney’s grandmother, Kay Rosner, if she were still with us, would have the perfect comments to honor Cortney, who was a favorite of hers. I have a fond recollection of Cortney contributing sweet remembrances of Kay at Kay’s memorial service years ago.
Just last month, Cortney texted me while I was attending a sporting event she was watching on TV. She made a funny comment about trying to see me in an audience of tens of thousands of fans, and wished me a great time there. Back at you, Cortney – I won’t be able to see you now either, but may you rest in a state of peace not available to us.

When Cortney first came to our home, we had no idea that such an important person would be walking into our lives. Cortney was there through everything for us. She was the rock in our household. More than a friend, she was our partner in parenting.
We will keep her memory in our hearts, and our kids will continue to hear stories about their “Gaga.” I believe that the love she gave to them as little ones will reverberate throughout their lives as they grow older. We are lucky to have shared those years with her.
Cortney, thank you for all the love you gave our family. We love you and miss you.

As Annie and Charlie’s grandma (Baba), meeting Cortney(Gaga) was a happy privilege and the beginning of a close friendship.
On the day of Annie’s 2nd birthday, Cortney burst through the door like Santa Claus, bearing multiple packages, including some things for Charlie. This is just one symbol of her huge heart and tireless effort to bring joy and well-being to our children. I had Annie’s cake made with the Pooh Bear theme as a tribute to Cortney.
In such a short time, Cortney had a powerful impact on all of us, and she leaves this earth as a treasured member of our family as well as her own; she has left an empty space that cannot be filled.
I loved being the “Baba” part of the “Gaga-Baba” duo, and that will always bring me a warm smile.
We love you, Cortney, and miss you forever. Love, Donna ❤️

Cortney has meant everything to our family over the past 3 years. She cared for our two children, Charlie and Annie. But she also cared for me and Jeremy and everyone around her.
She was a force. Thoughtful, loving, funny, and exceptional. She filled our home with care and fun and comfort. Always showing up with a new toy or blanket or creative idea on how to improve our lives. She taught me so much about being a mom. She made me smarter and stronger and better. And she truly was my friend.
She loved Annie and Charlie with a passion. And they loved her. She was their Gaga. She kept them safe and healthy and happy. She brought them books and bubbles and bucket seats. She fed them and bathed them and helped them grow. She shared their lives with us and took care of them like they were a part of her. She was in it with us and with them every day of Annie’s life and there wasn’t a funny or meaningful moment that happened that we didn’t have to share with her.
We will think of her every day with love and gratitude. And we are so so lucky to have had her live alongside us these past few years.
We miss you and love you forever, Gaga.

Courtney’s loss is profound. We are so thankful to have had the blessing of her 41 years. She was feisty, funny and extremely loyal. She and Vinnie have undoubtedly already found each other. One particular memory was when I rented a muscle car when I visited in Jersey. She was so impressed not only that I got the car, but that I managed to drive the speed limit with it. Miss you…

While it’s been years since we saw each other, I have very fond memories of our friendship in high school. From just hanging out at your house, to going to the skating rink, carnivals, and everything in between. I hope you’re at peace.

I love you to the moon and back. Not a single day, hour or minute will go by that I won’t miss you or think about you so much that my heart hurts. You were the best daughter, friend and partner that I could have ever asked for. You are finally with Vin - I can see him smiling. May you rest in peace my sweet daughter.
Love you♥️

Deena, I just saw this and am so sorry for your loss! I saw the picture on the website and did a double take before even seeing the name. She is the spitting image of you. Losing a child no matter how old has got to be one of the worse things I can image. I have been reading the comments and all the wonderful things everyone is saying about Cortney. You are in my prayers. God bless!! Carol Moeller Anderson
