Right now we’re sitting and talking about when we in the Hertel´s family were visiting Linda and Bob in Norway in Maine. We have a lot of good memories that lasts from there. Ville remembers when all of us went to eat clam chowder at the little restaurant and Rasmus remembers that he really loved the Whoopies that Linda provided in abundance for him.
Mormor (Ann-Marie) thinks about the Sunday e-mailing she had with Linda during long periods of time. It was fun and exciting to keep in touch, about for example Mineur, but mostly the day-to-day troubles and joys.
All of us remembers when she visited us on midsommar in the stuga and her love for us and our swedishness.
We will all miss Linda´s wittiness, and her love.
In loving memory,
Ann-Marie & Leif, Karin & Patrik, Hanna, Ville, Rasmus, Håkan & Jennie, Tilda and Felicia

On the 10th of July 1965 I bought my first car and Linda joined me on a 30km long drive. We ended up in a small village and went into a church and happened upon a wedding.
Linda was very easy going and we had lots of fun together. Linda spent lots of time at our place and around “Klovheden” in Bergvik where we lived. She stayed with her grandparents who lived close by.
We have fond memories of Linda.
Our sincere condolences to the family and friends who are left behind.

In loving memory from Karin and family.
I am the daughter of Einar and Ingegerd. Einar was a cousin of Linda’s dad, Rudolph.
My siblings are Kjell and Hans Lindberg.
When I was 14 years old, back in 1965, Linda joined my family and me on a road trip to our cousin Birgit Halvarsson’s summerhouse in Rörbäcksnäs in Dalarna. On the trip, our cousin Ingvar Strid followed with his wife Gerd and their kids, Bengt and Barbro.
We had a great time with lots of fun. One of the most fun moments was when Linda was hiding behind a big stone and Bengt (who was very afraid of bears) came past on the pathway, she roared loud like a bear. Bengt got such a fright and we were laughing so much.
In the later years, in 1998 Linda, Rudy and Sandy stayed with us for three days. She enjoyed going on the “spark” (kick) on the snowy roads.
Thereafter we had a family reunion before they continued their trip to Gävle and Ann-Mari Svärd’s home.
We also had another family reunion on Midsummer’s day in 2003 at Laila and Christer Sundin’s house in Lynäsbyn. We were 32 family members, including Rudy and Sandy.
Linda said, “Sweden is my sommarstuga (summer house)”

Minörs (Minor) place in Hälsingland, Sweden. Linda and myself, grandchild to Gun. Lindas farmor (grandma) was from Gulgruva. Eric Öhrn, Lindas farfar och Eric Minör (the house attached) were cousins. When these swedes left Sweden (Hälsingland) 1912 for a better life far away. The farm house in sweden has of course changed over years, i sent Linda many pictures of us from Hälsingland. She always appriciated and told me so much of our family tree and history. I will save everything from her stories to show my kids. Linda was such a inspiration, loved her family history and sweden. I always wrote to her in swedish and she replied more in english thrue the years. I will always remember Linda with warmth. Loving memories / Patricia Minör , Sweden

Linda was a good friend of mine in school. She was in my wedding as a brides maid and she and her mother gave me a bridal shower. Linda took me for my first McDonald's not far from the high school. Bless her heart. After I got married, I was out of town for many years as my husband was in the army and I lost track of many friends including Linda. We text off and on in recent years and was so sorry when her husband died but I didn't know anything about her health issue and I feel so bad I didn't know. Good bless her family for the loss. I am shocked because it was recently that she had posted some things. What a wonderful person to have as a mother!!

I spent 4 wonderful days with Linda and Bob at their summer home in Norway, ME. This is where I first met Susan and Luke before I saw them in Italy in 2011. Linda was one of my best friends since 7th grade in Rock Island, IL
Linda was such a gracious lady and showed so much class. She was always slow and deliberate in her actions. Most of our phone calls were about two hours, and much of our conversations centered around her children and grandchildren. She had so much love for you all and was so proud of you.
I had wanted to come see her and the house remodel this year, but know we will meet up again sometime later.

She was a classmate at Rocky Class of 65. She was bright and a wonderful person. My wife was a friend of hers at Rocky and we were supposed to get together in New England but we never arranged it.
