Obituary of Annabel Lea Marsico
Peacefully and surrounded by her family, it’s with profound sadness we announce the passing of Annabel Marsico, our loving and devoted mother, grandmother and friend to all whose lives she touched.
Annabel Marsico passed away on December 8, 2022, at the age of 76. Annabel will be lovingly remembered by her children: Cindi Love, Teri Cummings (James), Danielle Love (David), Carey Love, Gina Marsico & Matt Rulevich, Michael & Jodi Marsico; her grandchildren: Jessica Cummings, Samantha Cummings, Jimmy Cummings Rees Rulevich, Beck Rulevich, Ian Marsico & Kaitlin Marsico. She was equally loved by many cousins, coworkers and just about anyone that she encountered.
Annabel was predeceased by her loving husband of 36 years, Emanuel; George (brother), Lynn (sister), Robyn, (sister); and her parents: Helena & George.
Annabel Lea Aldredge was born at East Orange General Hospital in April 1946. She lived with her parents in Boonton throughout her elementary years. She attended and graduated Boonton High School in 1964.
She lived a full life as a wonderful mother, homemaker and worker in retail. She loved to cook and made the best deviled eggs, double chocolate birthday cake and potato and macaroni salads. Annabel kept an immaculate house, and gardening was a passion of hers—she was highly skilled with growing her beloved indoor plants including a gigantic Christmas cactus. She loved to dance, and once she was on the dance floor there was no getting her off. She once said that one of her fondest memories growing up in the early sixties was turning up the volume on the car radio with a Frankie Valli song playing. They would pull off on the side of the road and get out and dance. Didn’t matter the time, day or place—times were different she said.
She put the most thought out of everyone we know in selecting the perfect greeting cards and underlining her favorite parts for every birthday and holiday. She even had the timing down perfectly so you would get your birthday card in the mail on the exact day of your birthday.
Family was everything to her and one of the proudest moments of her life was when she became a grandmother. She went to every single one of her grandchildren’s sporting events, always with a snack in hand and would love to stop by to visit on her days off from work and have a talk over a cup of coffee.
Christmas was one of Annabel’s favorite times of the year. She loved getting the entire family together for Christmas breakfast over sausage, biscuits and gravy. Each one of us had our personalized stockings and Christmas poppers.
She was a mother who loved her family unconditionally. Her support, love, and strength will live on through her children and grandchildren. She will be cherished and remembered for her love, huge heart and sacrifices along the way. She was all our hero and made us better and stronger than she will ever know.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm, on Wednesday, December 14th, at Codey & Mackey Funeral Home of Boonton.
The family will be gathering at 10:30am Thursday, December 15th, at Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, with the processional going to Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa for the interment at 12:00pm.
