Obituary of Florence P. Zachara

Florence H. Zachara, 90, died August 15, 2011 at Morristown Medical Center. She was born in Brooklyn, NY and grew up in Clifton, NJ. There, she met the love of her life, John. They were married 56 years until his death in 1999. She also lived in Montville before moving to Boonton 12 years ago. Mrs. Zachara retired as a salesperson from Lord & Taylor in Paramus. She loved roller skating as a girl, and won many awards. She was a member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, Parsippany, and the Boontonites. She loved word search puzzles, the Yankees, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, John and a sister, Grace. Survivors include her loving daughters, Pamela (Richard) Botka and Donna (Frank) Pesoli both of Boonton; four cherished grandchildren, Trevor Jankowski of Newton, Jared (Amanda) Jankowski of Frederick, MD, Catherine Pesoli and Patrick Pesoli, both of Boonton. Relatives and friends are invited to call Thursday, Aug. 18, 7-9pm and Friday, Aug. 19, 9-11am at the Mackey Funeral Home (mackeyfh.com), 107 Essex Avenue, Boonton. Funeral Services will be Friday at 11:00am in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Boonton
