Obituary of Lorraine E. Doherty
Lorraine E. Doherty of Parsippany, NJ passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, with family at her side. She was 95.
Lorraine was born in September 1927 in East Newark, NJ to Robert J. and Theresa (nee Wilczeski) Walsh and lived there with her sister, Dolores and brother, Robert.
Lorraine graduated from Our Lady Queen of Peace High School. She worked as a model in her 20’s and eventually became an office manager for Robert A. Roe Associates, Inc. in Wayne. She treasured her friendship with Congressman Roe and only retired at age 87 after he passed away. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Mountain Lakes, attending Mass every week. In her later years, Lorraine watched classic tv – especially Murder She Wrote, Fraser, Coach and Magnum P.I. Despite her many health setbacks, Lorraine kept her wonderful outlook with the love and help of her family.
Predeceased by her parents, her siblings and her beloved husband, Edward T. Doherty, Lorraine is survived by her devoted son, Eamon Doherty and his treasured wife, Ester.
