Jackie and Paul, I am truly sorry for your loss. Daniel was very kind. It seems like a million life times ago when we were all kids in the township! I hope you find comfort in the thoughts and words of others. John 5:28&29
Much love always Judy Lonergan Franke

I read about Dan's death in the Star Ledger. I am so sorry for your loss. Death of a loved one is very distressing even if the person is elderly or sick. The Bible teaches us that death was not part of God's original plan. He wanted man to live forever, in perfect health, on a paradise earth. Man disobeyed God and brought about sin and death to the human race. God's plan will still be realized. Isaiah 55:11 states, "So my word that goes out of my mouth will be. It will not return to me without results, but it will certainly accomplish whatever is my delight. It will have sure success in what I send it to do." The Bible talks about a resurrection of those who have died. (Acts 24:15, John 5:28, 29) The Bible account in John 11:1-44 details a resurrection Jesus performed and which gives us the certainty that the resurrection of our loved ones will occur. The word resurrection in the Bible literally means "a standing up again" and "revival of the dead". The provision for resurrection of the dead is a magnificent expression of God's undeserved kindness. It displays his wisdom and power and is a means by which his original purpose regarding the earth and humans will be carried out. There is such a wealth of knowledge and hope we can gain from studying the Bible. Sincerely, Paula

I had the pleasure to work with Dan Allen for 9 years at Morris Catholic H.S. and for 5 years at Pace University. Dan was as loyal and hardworking individual with whom I have ever been associated. He was selfless and epitomized the concept of how results can be maximized when no one cares who receives the credit. In spite of his stature, Dan was unassuming and always accessible by the young people with whom he worked. Dan was generous with his time and generous with his knowledge. No job was ever too big or too small. Dan would meticulously breakdown opponents' video and research a better way to run the trap and just as quickly take the lead in assembling blocking sled. Thank you Dan for your friendship. You will be missed.

Coach Allen was my football and wrestling coach throughout high school. I was lucky enough to be on the team when he became head coach at boonton. So many times you hear about players coaches in sports. Those coaches that everyone outside of the team couldn’t figure out. But inside the team, inside the locker room there isn’t anyone else in the world that they would want to lead them. Coach Allen is the epitome of a players coach. Those that didn’t play for coach Allen won’t understand and those that did will never forget. Forever grateful to coach Allen for the time, devotion and fun that he brought to every single practice, game and conversation. Thank you for everything Coach.
