Obituary of Catherine Bachman

Catherine Bachman Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother Catherine Bachman, 90, of Montville, NJ, formerly of West Caldwell, NJ, peacefully passed away on Monday, May 6, 2019. Catherine was born in Irvington, NJ to Thomas and Anna (Tamulonis) Powell. She was raised in Bloomfield, NJ and graduated from Bloomfield High School. She married Alfred E. Bachman and together they raised a family in West Caldwell. She has lived the past 17 years in Montville, NJ. Mrs. Bachman was a homemaker who loved to raise a family and watch her grandchildren grow-up around the family homes. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Alfred E. Bachman in 1999, a devoted daughter Judy Mundy, cherished granddaughter, Nilla and loving sisters, Pauline Bachman and Anna Smith. Surviving are her devoted children along with their spouses, Kathi and Jerry Paradise, Virginia and Nick Herrick and Alfred and Carolyn Bachman; dear brother Thomas Powell; adored grandchildren, A.J., Christopher, Hollie, Kristen and Jennifer; adored great grandchildren Natashia, Justin, Kaylie, Gavin, Brielle and Blake and a loving great great granddaughter, Gianna. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Tuesday, May 7th from 4-8 pm at the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Ave., Boonton, NJ. A Liturgy of the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 8th at 10:00 am in St. Pius X R.C. Church, 24 Changebridge Road, Montville, NJ. The interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery, Union, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) would be appreciated.
