Obituary of Mihai Ralea

Mihai Ralea, 63, of Boonton Township, NJ, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2017 in the Atlantic Hospice Unit of Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ. Mihai was born in Colelia, Romania and was the son to the late Leon and Iona. He was the devoted husband of Doina Teodorescu for 38 years. After graduating from Stevens Technical Institute with a masters in Electronic Engineering, Mr. Ralea went on to become the owner of an engineering consultant company, Advanced Systems Designs in Boonton Township, NJ for several years. Together with brightening the lives of all who knew him personally he left his mark society, holding several patents both nationally and internationally. Mihai was a loving husband and father. In addition to spending as much time as possible with his family, he enjoyed gourmet cooking, parties and sailing. He was an incredibly generous and modest person, who would give anything to and for his family and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife, Doina (nee Teodorescu); devoted son, Michael Andrew; loving mother, Ioana and mother-in-law, Elena; dear brothers, Dan and Marin and dearest sisters, Mariana and Mihaela. In lieu of flowers, any donations to Michael Andrew's college fund would be greatly appreciated. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, August 1st from 5-9pm at Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Avenue, Boonton, NJ. The funeral mass will be Wednesday, August 2nd at 10:00 at Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church, 285 French Hill Road, Wayne, NJ. The interment is private.
