BOONTON---Mary Marcello Valente died Friday, December 17, 2010 at Merry Heart Assisted Living, Succasunna following a brief illness. She was 97.
Born in Morristown, she lived in Boonton her entire life.
Mrs. Valente was a homemaker.
She was a parishioner at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Boonton and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of V.F.W. Gus Ginder Post #124, Boonton.
Her husband Anthony J., died in 1999, as did her step-son, Anthony J., Jr.
She is survived by a son, Richard L. Sandillo of East Hanover; a sister, Jean Scerbo of Boonton; three grandchildren and one great grandson.
A memorial funeral liturgy will be held at a later date to be announced at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Boonton. There will be no hours of visitation.
