I was sad to learn of Judge Van Houten's passing. Years ago I was privileged to serve as prosecutor in several of the courts where Henry served as Municipal Judge. I learned a great deal from him during those years, especially his kind demeanor, integrity and fairness. I now serve as Municipal Judge in two of those municipalities and others, so I am part of the legacy of his judicial career. My condolences to his family and friends on his passing but I know he was also a man of faith so all can be encouraged for his new life.
