Obituary of Leon Wieder

Leon Wieder, 86, of Boonton Twp., NJ, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2015. Born in Passaic, NJ to his parents, Samuel and Gussie Wieler, Leon lived in Boonton and Manchester Twp., NJ before moving back to Boonton Twp. in 2008. He proudly served in the US Navy in World War II. Afterwards he graduated in 1952 from Pace College with a Bachelor Degree in Business. Mr. Wieder was a Purchasing Manager with Beckman Instruments in Cedar Grove, NJ for 35 years, retiring in 1990. Leon was a member and past president of the A.R.C. in the State of NJ and in Ocean & Morris Counties. He was also active with the US Navy League and Jewish War Veterans. He was predeceased by his wife, Natalie Snaidman in 1994, a brother, Horace and a sister, Shirley Scott. Surviving are his daughter, Barbara S. Wieder and a son, Michael Wieder. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 11:00 am in King Solomon Memorial Park, Clifton, NJ. Arrangements are in care of the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home of Boonton, NJ.
