Obituary of Michael Joseph Hickey

Michael J. Hickey, Jr., 85, of Dingmans Ferry, PA, formerly of Mountain Lakes, NJ, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2014. Michael was born in Morristown, NJ and lived in Mountain Lakes, Denville and Florida, before moving to Dingmans Ferry in 1999. Mr. Hickey proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. He also was the past commander of the American Legion Post 390 in Denville. Mike was a stock clerk for 32 years with Automatic Switch in Florham Park. He is survived by his wife, Martha R. (Scheer); children, Cindy & William Benson, Donald McConnell and Barbara Jo; niece, Carol Ann Hawes and nephew, Michael Hickey; also 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Mike was predeceased by his son, Michael; step son, Guy; brother, Duncan; sister, Jean Sillick. Relatives and friends may visit with the family at the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Avenue, Boonton, NJ on Tuesday, December 9th from 4 - 7 pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the on Wednesday, December 10th at 11:00 am in the funeral home. The interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park in East Hanover.
