Obituary of Harold L Heath

Harold L. Heath, 90, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 6, 2014. Harold was a native of Boonton, New Jersey and came to Port Orange, Florida in 1986. He served in WWII with the 697th Field Artillery in the European Theatre. Upon returning, he worked at RFL Industries and retired after 36 years of service. He was a volunteer with the Boonton Kiwanis Ambulance Squad for 23 years where he served as Quartermaster and President. Harold was also an active member of the Maxfield Hook and Ladder Co. #1 of the Boonton Fire Department for 40 years. Harold and his wife Phyllis, who predeceased him, were active in the First United Methodist Churches of Boonton and Port Orange. They enjoyed camping square dancing, attending conventions all over the U.S. Harold's hobbies included fishing and creating stained glass windows which are on display at the FUMC in Port Orange. He also served as a hospice volunteer. Mr. Heath is survived by his three children, Russell (Linda) Heath of Rockwall, TX, Connie (Dennis) George of Port Orange, Florida and Sandy (Steve) Albanese of New Smyrna Beach, FL; 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Family, friends and volunteers will honor and celebrate Harold's life at the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Ave., Boonton, NJ on Friday, November 14, 2014 at 11:00 am.
