Obituary of Jean Mary Yanni

Jean Mary Yanni, 86, of Tinton Falls NJ passed away at her home on September 16, 2014. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Richard H "Dick" Yanni of 63 years, parents, Dominic and Rose Piscitello, a brother, Archie (awarded the Silver Star and Purple Heart), and sisters, Sadie, and Annette. Jean lovingly leaves her sons Richard and Brian, nephew John, and granddaughters Allison and Natalie. Jean worked with her father and sisters in the family textile business that was headquartered in Jersey City NJ for many years before taking time to focus on family helping her sisters, mother, and her sons and nephew where she was active in the community and church. She later resumed her career and retired from the Morris County Prosecutors Office of NJ after many years of public safety service. Jean loved spending time with her family and friends and favorite hobby was gardening. She also had a passion for animal welfare (especially dogs). Family and friends are invited to visit at the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Avenue, Boonton, NJ on Monday, September 22nd from 4- 8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home Tuesday, September 23rd at 9:00 am. The entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, East Hanover, NJ.
