Obituary of Julie Yolanda Weast

Julie Y. Weast Loving Mother & Grandmother Julie Y. "Chi Chi" Weast (Cardena), 84, of Kinnelon, NJ, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2014. Julie was born in Merida, Mexico, spent her childhood both in New Orleans and Merida, and, following her marriage to Herbert Weast, a U.S. State Department diplomat, lived in Bogota, Columbia, Frankfurt, Germany, and the Washington, D.C. area. She settled in San Francisco, CA, where she lived for nearly 50 years before moving to Kinnelon, NJ in 2004 to be closer to her family. She was a comptometer operator for many years in San Francisco working for Standard Oil and American President Lines. Her family was most important to her and she is survived by her devoted daughter Landi Simone and her husband, Paul, two remarkable grandchildren, whom she adored, Kira and Adrian Simone. Friends are invited to join the family for a memorial visitation at the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Avenue, Boonton, NJ on Saturday, April 12th from 2 - 4 pm only.
