Obituary of Ernest Codella

Ernest J. Codella, of Boonton, NJ, went home to the Lord on Monday, October 28, 2013. He was 62 years old. Ernest was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY before moving to Boonton in 1977. Mr. Codella was an HVAC Technician working with Fritze, LLC in Whippany, NJ for many years. He also worked part time at St. Francis of Assisi School in Haskell, NJ. First and foremost he was a dedicated Christian who taught Bible Studies, helped start up new churches and was an involved with Child Evangelism Fellowship. The "Big E." was known by folks around Morris County as a singer and member of the Band. Ernest was predeceased by his beloved wife, Eileen H. (Cassady), in 2001. He is survived by his devoted children Lisa M. Elizondo of Boonton, Jennifer L. Codella and Victoria M. A. Codella; loving grandchildren Spencer, Talia and Cristian Elizondo; dear sister Angela Willix. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family at the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Avenue, Boonton, NJ 07005 on Friday, November 1st from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Services will be held at the First Reformed Church of Boonton, 236 Washington Street, Boonton, NJ on Saturday, November 2nd at 10:00 AM.
