Obituary of Robert Streich

Robert Streich, 88, of Boonton Twp, NJ, passed away on October 25, 2013, of natural causes. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 28th at 5PM, at the Codey-Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Ave, Boonton, NJ 07005. Relatives and friends may visit on Monday October 28th from 4-5:30 PM at the funeral home. The interment services will be private. Born in Dover, Bob lived in Kenvil before he went into the US Army serving during WWII. Following his service, he went to and graduated from Rutgers University. Robert married his wife, Myrna, and lived in the Mountain Lakes area for many years. Bob was an avid tennis player, winning many local and state tournaments. Son of the late Andrew and Elizabeth (nee Mitchell) Streich, Bob was also predeceased by his son Michael A. Streich in 1993. Bob is survived by his wife of 59 years, Myrna (nee Sowden), his daughter Jill Bentley and husband Edward, and his grandchildren, Jessie, Katie, and Bobby Bentley. In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert's name can be to American Cancer Society.
