Obituary of Harold William Matheis

Harold William Matheis, of Oak Ridge, NJ, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Franciscan Oaks Hospice, Denville, NJ. He was 89 years old. Harold was born and raised in Garfield, NJ. He lived in Clifton, NJ before moving to Oak Ridge, NJ. He was a Veteran of World War II , proudly serving in the US Navy. Mr. Matheis was a production planner with Howe Richardson Scale Co. in Clifton for over 30 years. Surviving are his beloved wife, of 43 years, Liselotte (Wurtz); his devoted son Frank Miller and wife Peggy; daughter Susan Quinn; adoring grandchildren Wes, Lindsey, Kaitlin and Kristen. He was predeceased by his brothers Joseph, Frank and James; also his sister Eleanor. A Funeal Mass will be celebrated at St. Aloysius R.C. Church, 219 Bloomfield Avenue, Caldwell, NJ on Wednesday, August 28 at 11:00 AM. The interment will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Caldwell.
