During the mid 1980s, I worked with Fred at Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital. I had been hired to assist with the installation of the hospital's first computer system. During that time, Fred exercised deft clinical, administrative, and managerial leadership. He was enthusiastic and he heartily embraced the change. In many ways, Fred was at least 30 years ahead of his time with respect to the usage of computers in healthcare organizations. He was a friend and a mentor, and he never let the obstacles that we faced get in our way. It was such a pleasure working with him, and in the intervening years, I have put to good use many of the skills that I learned working at his side. RIP Fred. I will never forget the things that you so patiently taught me.

"Little Freddie" and I almost became
brothers after his parents divorced
because my parents considered
adopting him but could not afford
another child in the Great Depression. This explains why I'm
an only child....It would be fantastic
to have A BROTHER ..He will be in
my prayers!!!!!
