Obituary of Robert E, Crocetti, Sr.

BOONTON TOWNSHIP---Robert E. Crocetti, Sr. died Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Morristown Medical Center following a long illness. He was 76. Born in Boonton, he lived there before moving to Boonton Township 56 years ago. He graduated from Boonton High School in 1953. Mr. Crocetti was the vice-president of manufacturing with R.F.L. Industries, Boonton Township for 35 years before retiring in 1987. Bob was an exempt member and former chief of the Boonton Township Fire Department, an organization near and dear to his heart. A brother, Thomas, predeceased him in 2005. He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Bonnie-Gay (nee Burchardt); three loving children, Robert E., Jr. and his wife Dawn of Rockaway Township, Debbie Kapral of Mt. Bethel, PA and Amy Engler and her husband, Christopher of Mount Arlington; three close siblings, Frank of Hellertown, PA, Virginia Lasalandra of Boonton and Cecelia Francisco of Montville and four cherished grandchildren, Holly, Maggie, Nicholas and Brian. Memorial services will be held on Sunday, June 24th at 5:00 P.M. at the United Methodist Church of the Rockaways, 1 Hoagland Ave., Rockaway during which time the Boonton Township Fire Department will render final honors. There will be no hours of visitation and the interment will be private. Memorial contributions in Bob's name may be made to the Kiwanis Ambulance Service of Boonton, P.O. Box 16, Boonton, NJ 07005.
