Uncle Bob was a delightful uncle. He and my dad were almost like twins with their quick wit and loving to tease. You had to look for the twinkle in the eye to determine if they were teasing or not. They could keep such a straight face.
I have fond memories of visiting his and Aunt Audrey’s beautiful home in Mountain Lakes. Coming from California, I was amazed at all the trees and wished that I could live with them.
When the extended family got together in Minnesota in the summers at Grandma Leef’s house, I always wanted to sit in the room with the uncles because they didn’t talk a lot, but when they did have something to say, it was choice.
As the obituary says, Uncle Bob was kind and loving to all. He made a difference in my life sharing that love.
